Picnics in Paris is dedicated to creating unique dining experiences for visitors in the City of Light. Chef Justin Kent, a French-trained chef, has worked in some of the city’s best restaurants. He’s been creating romantic, gourmet picnics for couples in Paris whom are celebrating special moments such as proposals, engagements, honeymoons or anniversaries. Justin works with only same producers and everything is made fresh daily with ingredients from the local markets. He also works with a wine distributor to provide unique wines from France.
As autumn comes to Paris, the city’s parks and gardens invite you to celebrate the beauty of nature during the Fête des Jardins (Garden Festival). For almost 20 years, this annual event has been bringing together thousands of nature-loving visitors. Explore and rediscover the green spaces of the French capital over one weekend. In total, over 150 places will be open to the public including very secret gardens which are normally not. Please check the program
The garden is named after a young 19th-century nun to whom the Virgin Mary was said to have appeared as she tended the kitchen garden. These days the garden’s visitors are far less spiritual – mainly Parisians wanting to relax in the 7,000-m² expanse of lawns and greenery. The garden’s fruit trees, vine-covered pergola and vegetable garden have survived the passage of time. It is an attractive spot in summer for an outing with friends or family, to sunbathe on the lawns or to walk along the cross-shaped outline showing where the convent once stood.
