This studio is a jewel in the trendy village atmosphere of Montmartre.
Picasso used to live next door (49 rue Gabrielle) and you will find the atmosphere still imbued with creative thought of the many artists who worked and lived in the area : Renoir, Van Gogh, Utrillo, Toulouse-Lautrec, Eric Satie, Hector Berlioz to name just a few.
The flat is very cosy and quiet giving on a courtyard decorated with lavish plants. The first spring flowers are already in bloom on this peaceful island which beyond being a temporary home is meant to be a universe made just for you.
You can read one of the many books or guides at your disposal in your comfortable alcove bed or on the sofa of the "living-room" section of the studio. The space is designed to give you some privacy in both areas.
If you want to work, you are all set with a view on the garden to study your French lessons or handle some email traffic and you may find yourself writing a book inspired by magic of the area.
A wireless WiFi airport connection allows you to use your laptop anywhere in the flat with high-speed connection.
You have over 200 international TV channels to choose from, a flatscreen monitor, a dvd player and some special DVDs (Amélie, amongst others) at your disposal, a CD player with your preferred CDs.
The walls feature artworks of contemporary French artist Vincent Magni.
The colour harmony of the space is in warm earthen shades, but we would even repaint the flat in your favourite colours just to make you feel at home. Let us know your preferences before your arrival.
The kitchen is small, but fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave, 2 cooking plates, dishes for 4, pots, pans etc.
The studio accommodates one or two persons in a French double bed and there's an extra-bed for a kid or guest.
Walking at random across Montmartre hill, you will discover gardens, old houses, steep streets and staircases (right) with magnificent views on Paris. Montmartre is a picturesque and authentic village made famous by so many artists, including Van Gogh, Picasso and Toulouse Lautrec. The area offers a wonderful choice of excellent restaurants. There is also a large and varied selection of food shops and open markets nearby especiallly the market of the rue Lepic with it delicious pastry shop "Les Petits Mitrons". Not to forget the famous grocery from the movie "Amélie Poulain" which is located a few steps from the studio.
Total rent to be paid upon arrival by cash or credit card (visa, master card)
SECURITY DEPOSIT CONDITION:
Refundable security deposit of 500 € to be paid cash and returned at the end of your stay, provided that there are no damage.
CANCELLATION_POLICY:
- Cancellations received 30 days or more in advance of the Check-in date: 30% of total rent to pay to owner. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the Check-in date: 50% of total rent to pay to owner. Whatever is the date of cancellation, reservation fees are non refundable.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT:
The owner or his representative will welcome you at the apartment. Check-in time is normally after 2 PM and check-out before 10.30 AM. For special arrangements, please, ask the owner.
